On November 12th, our founder celebrates her daughter’s first birthday, a day filled with love, gratitude, and wonder. It also made her realize how fragile and precious life truly is. To mark this milestone, we wanted to create something that goes beyond beauty. Something that carries meaning. Something that helps others.

A tiny panda full of love

That’s how the Gili Bear was born, a delicate panda pendant, designed as a symbol of love, strength, and gentleness. A piece that reminds us of what truly matters, and one that gives back. Because behind this necklace lies a greater purpose: all profits from every Gili Bear sold will be donated to the Kinderkankerfonds (Children’s Cancer Fund) at the end of 2025, to support children with cancer and their families.

Why the Children’s Cancer Fund

Every year, 400 children in Belgium are diagnosed with cancer. That means 400 families whose lives change overnight.Kinderkankerfonds offers them hope, support, and the strength to keep going, from research to emotional care. With the Gili Bear, we want to help keep that light shining so that more children can be helped, and more families can feel less alone.

From one mother to another

For Julie, being a mother makes this project especially meaningful. It’s a heartfelt reminder of how fragile life is and how important it is to give back, to hold space for others, and to spread love where it’s needed most. It’s her way of passing love forward, in the name of her daughter, Gilda.
